Meet The Golden Rug — a warm, earthy recycled cotton throw rug designed in Australia by Salty Aura.
Woven from 100% recycled cotton, The Golden Rug brings warm golden tones and an earthy colour palette into a design that's easy to live with and even easier to style. It's a beautiful way to add colour and texture to a room while still keeping things relaxed and neutral.
Its reversible woven design features contrasting colours on the reverse, giving you two different looks in one. Drape it over the couch, layer it across the end of your bed or keep it nearby for those nights when it gets a little chilly.
But like all our rugs, The Golden was never made to just sit pretty at home. Spread it out as a picnic rug for an afternoon outside, take it down to the beach as a beach blanket, or chuck it in the back of the car as a camping blanket for weekends away, caravanning and road trips around Australia.

When will my order be posted
Your order will be dispatched from South Australia within 2-3 business days.
What are the care instructions for the rug?
Spot clean when possible. Hand wash in cold, soapy water and hang to dry. Avoid harsh detergents and fabric softness. Avoid machine washing, but If its necessary use a delicate cycle. The rug may shrink 10% once washed, but will expand again after use. They soften with each wash like other throw blankets. The rugs are woven, so be careful when using around sharp objects (pointy rings, car keys etc) so you don't pull any threads. Some people use them on the ground to brighten up their room, however please don't vacuum the rugs.

Beautiful rug. Gift for daughter’s 18th. It has pride of place on her bed, then travels for picnics and days on the beach. She loves it!

Love salty aura rugs….
I bought this rug as a 21st gift for a friends daughter. She loves it. This is the 3rd salty aura rug I have bought as a gift and I have 2 of my own. They are great on the bed, to snuggle into on the couch, as a rug for a picnic, and one lives in my beach bag for summer as my beach rug. A great practical gift that someone didn’t even know they wanted or needed.

We began designing woven throw rugs in Australia in 2018 after we struggled to find colourful, versatile throws we wanted to take travelling ourselves.
